These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of ChessTV.com ("ChessTV", "we", or "our"). By creating an account, joining a room, creating a room, subscribing, or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.

ChessTV provides online chess features centered on private video chess rooms. The service may include room creation, invite links, join approval, face-to-face video, chessboard play, clocks, chat, game history, room statistics, player profiles, rankings, federation pages, and news pages.

You may use ChessTV only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You need a ChessTV account to create or join private rooms. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity that happens through your account.

• Provide accurate and complete registration information.
• Keep your login credentials secure.
• Do not share, sell, or transfer your account.
• Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Private room creators control who can join through the join approval flow. Accepted guests receive access to the room experience, including video, chess, chat, clocks, game offers, and room history.

You are responsible for what you say, show, and send through video, microphone, chat, profile information, and feedback forms.

• Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, or abuse other users.
• Do not share illegal, hateful, explicit, or harmful content.
• Do not attempt to disrupt games, rooms, signaling, clocks, chat, or platform infrastructure.
• Do not use bots, scraping, automation, or reverse engineering without permission.

ChessTV may provide free access, trials, and paid subscription plans. Room creation can require an active trial, active subscription, or continued access through a cancellation period. Invited guests can join rooms with a free account unless access rules change.

• Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
• By subscribing, you authorize recurring billing for the selected plan until cancellation.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time.
• After cancellation, access may continue until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods unless required by law.

ChessTV owns or licenses the platform design, code, branding, text, graphics, and other site content. You may not copy, redistribute, or reuse ChessTV materials without permission except as allowed by law.

You retain rights to content you submit, but you grant ChessTV the permission needed to host, transmit, display, process, and operate that content as part of the service.

ChessTV is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or compatibility with every network, device, browser, camera, or microphone.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChessTV is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the platform.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page. Continued use of ChessTV after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
